I met with Yahyia on Monday, Feburary 11th at
12:00 at CIES. He needed help with verb
tenses, specifically past and future verb tenses. I helped him remember the different kinds of
tenses and how to identify them. He
needed the most help in future perfect continuous and past continuous tenses. I
had him come up with sentences for each tense and had him express the same or

session, we were not able to get very far.
We decided to go over more prepositions for our next session, which will
be this Wednesday. I told him to make at
least five sentences for each tense for the next time we meet. I plan on going over the sentences with him
to make sure that he understands the differences between each tense.

Where I don't completely agree with his logic, it is his life and I trust his decision making. For this session he brought his own material that he wanted to focus on. This time it was a reading passage that I even found to be quite difficult, and I was once again impressed by his far reach in practice and ability. The reading passage was accompanied by a set of numerous comprehension questions that we reviewed and answered together. The qu...
